When you use Prompt Mozz, we store:

• Tags and categories - Metadata you add to organize your prompts
• Favorites - List of prompts you mark as favorites

Storage location: Server-side (Prompt Mozz backend database) and locally in Chrome storage (favorites list for offline access)

Retention: Retained until you delete the content or your account

Usage Events

We track the following usage events:

• Prompt usage - When you insert a prompt into a web page (tracked via `/api/extension/prompts/use`)
• Extension opens - When you open the extension popup

Storage location: Server-side (Prompt Mozz backend database)

Retention: Retained for analytics and service improvement purposes

Local Storage Data

The Chrome extension stores the following data locally on your device:

• Theme preference - Your UI theme choice (light/dark/system)
• Favorites list - Cached list of your favorite prompts for offline access
• Settings - Extension settings (auto-insert mode, insert mode preference, notifications)
• Cache - Cached prompt data with timestamps and ETags for performance
• Authentication tokens - API key and JWT token (encrypted) for authenticated requests

Storage location: Chrome extension local storage (`chrome.storage.local`)

Retention: Stored locally until you uninstall the extension or clear extension data

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our service
• To sync your prompts, folders, and favorites across devices
• To improve and optimize the extension and web application
• To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience

You can access and export your data at any time through the Prompt Mozz dashboard. You can export your prompts, folders, and favorites.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the settings page. This will permanently delete:

• Your account information
• All prompts, folders, and favorites
• Usage history

Local extension data can be cleared by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in Chrome settings.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics tracking by disabling it in the extension settings. Note that some basic usage tracking may still occur for service functionality.

Chrome Extension Specific Privacy

The Prompt Mozz Chrome extension:

• Does not collect browsing history - We do not monitor or collect your browsing history
• Does not monitor page content - We only access the active input field when you explicitly click "Insert Prompt"
• Uses minimal permissions - We follow the principle of least privilege and only request permissions necessary for core functionality
• User-triggered actions only - All page interactions are user-initiated (no automatic content injection)
• No cross-site tracking - All data is scoped to your Prompt Mozz account

Children's Privacy

Prompt Mozz is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have that information removed.
